Vintage watch case and movement turned into a necklace. This one has repurposed necklace parts. Nautical theme. Lovely wavey engraving on the movement. Jewels still entact.
Absinthe - When making this necklace, I was struck by all of the subtly different shades of green the piece had. From the milky opal quality of the aqua czech picasso glass drops, to the rich darker olivine of the czech firepolished glass rondelles, to the palest apple green of the tiny peridot gemstone spacers. Even the brass filigree lovebird connector had developed a pretty verdigris patina while sitting in my stash. A brass mother and son chain and brass filigree clasp complete the design. Absinthe - When making this necklace, I was struck by all of the subtly different shades of green the piece had. Ophelia - I've always found the story of Ophelia in William Shakespeare's Hamlet to be beautifully tragic and have used that as my muse for this OOAK (one of a kind) fine silver/sterling wreath necklace. Highlights include: the Mucha-inspired centerpiece; tiny tourmaline, iolite and sterling silver flowers; czech fire-polished glass 'teardrops'; sterling silver bird in flight, symbolising Ophelia's departing spirit; and sterling silver rose clasp.

Inspiration for this piece came when looking through my brass hand stamped items and I saw the water lilies and wanted to create something with the lovely pastel hues of Claude Monet's impressionist Waterlily (or Nymphéas) series which he painted over the final three decades of his life, depicting his flower garden at Giverny . Fine silver clay sculpted center piece, sterling silver chain, with pale ametrine and prehnite semi-precious gemstones.

I wanted to give this OOAK Etruscan-Revival style piece that edgy quality. It's about passion, and betrayal. This is not to be worn by the faint of heart or spirit. The faceted garnets are a dark ruby red, accentuated by the bright golden hues of the hand stamped vintage brass neck band, and the 24K gold Vermeil dagger-like spikes, spacers, findings and ornate filigree Vermeil center bail which also serves as the simple elegant push-clasp for the choker.
