I like this artefact because each page is very different. It uses all kinds of layouts and creates a relationship between image and text. There are many ideas here like a coloured filter to highlight bits of text and use of negative space to create impact. I also like how they have used double page spreads so images bleed onto the opposite page.

Alex Robbins (YG8) was commissioned by VSA Partners [NYC] to create chalkboard lettering and illustrations for a double page spread in the HHMI Bulletin, a quarterly publication from the famous medical institute. The board was also used as part of an interactive feature for the iPad edition. Pretty remarkable given this was Alex's first time drawing with chalk!
