Season fish with salt and lightly drizzle Chinese cooking wine over the fish. 2. Peel and julienne ginger as thin as possible and slice a few pieces to lay on the bottom of the plate. 3. Cut scallions into 3 inch segments. Save 4-5 segments for the bottom of the plate and thinly slice the rest lengthwise. 4. Add the sliced ginger and scallion segments to the bottom of a plate and place the fish on top. 5. Steam the fish for 10-12 minutes on medium heat while you make the sauce by combining soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and water. 6. Remove the fish draining out all of the liquid and add the julienned ginger and scallions on top. 7. Pour the sauce over the fish and heat oil right before it starts to smoke. 8. Pour the hot oil over the aromatics and enjoy with rice. #lunarnewyear #lunarnewyearrecipe #lunarnewyearrecipes #30minutemeals #recipe #cooking #food #steamedfish #cantonesesteamedfish #recipevideo #cookingvideo #recipetutorial #cookingtutorial #easyrecipe #quickrecipes #quickrecipeideas #fastmeals #foodie #fish #asianfood #simplerecipe #recipereels #cookingreels #foodreels #cookingathome #comfortfood | Derek Chen

Nowadays I’m picking up a bag of Persian cucumbers every time I go to the store and this quick kimchi cucumber makes a great side dish, snack, or add in some fish cakes and carrots and you’ve got a delicious salad. Ingredients 5-7 persian cucumbers, halved lengthwise and cut into 1 inch pieces 1/2 tbsp salt 1 tbsp white distilled vinegar 1 tbsp minced garlic 1 tbsp sesame oil 1 heaping tablespoon gochugaru 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp sugar Sliced green onions Sesame seeds 1. Slice and smack your cucumbers. Add salt and drain in a colander for 30 minutes. Rinse and pat dry cucumbers with paper towels. 2. Mix together vinegar, garlic, sesame oil, gochugaru, soy sauce, and sugar and mix into cucumbers. 3. Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds and enjoy! #kimchicucumbers #cucumber #foodreels | Vince Vasquez
