She became a nurse, a journalist who interviewed Adolf Hitler, a wealthy French socialite, a British agent and a French resistance leader. She led 7,000 guerrilla fighters in battles against the Nazis in the northern Auvergne, just before the D-Day landings in 1944. On one occasion, she strangled an SS sentry with her bare hands...

In the Warsaw ghetto,Irena Sendler got infants out in the bottom of her tool box & she carried in her truck a sack for larger children. Her dog she trained to bark when Nazi soldiers let her in & out of the ghetto.Soldiers wanted nothing to do with the dog & the barking covered the kids noises.She SAVED 2500 KIDS.She was caught & the Nazi's broke her legs & arms.She hid the names of the kids in jars so they could reunite with parents,mostly all relatives were killed.
