There are foodies, and then there's Peng. "Food is more than just the taste or being 'opinionated.' Food is about culture, about memories, new and old. I got into this the hobby of food (not eating) by learning the history, the chemistry, and the culture of food. I have over 200-300 menus including takeout menus, actual full menus, and menus as old as 75 years old. I love the art and design and especially the history. My favorite period is mid-century restaurants and 80’s restaurant culture."

Shelby comes to work each day excited to go above and beyond in giving customers the best experience possible. “I love exceeding a customer’s expectation by getting their contacts to them the next day, or even delivering their contacts to them while they’re on vacation. A lot of the time, they are thinking they won’t have contacts for their whole trip, but then we come to their rescue!”

At 1-800 Contacts, we’re your number one advocate. Cindy L., Customer Retention Associate, remembers a time she helped a customer who needed contacts asap but had an expired prescription. They wanted to use their vision insurance so Cindy called multiple offices to find a doctor that was in-network and set-up an exam. Contacts were shipped, eyes were relieved, and the day was made. Ashlyn’s favorite things about working at 1-800 Contacts include, “Some favorites from this week... A coworker gave me his large Coke out of his Big Mac meal. I scheduled time to meditate during my work day. My manager sent me a thread of dancing chicken GIFs. The company helped me register for an IT class I’ve been wanting to take. I work with people who are my family and give me all the resources to succeed. My resources include a lot of junk food, but also big hearts, challenges, and trust.”
